Compared with the latest 2011 version, I prefer 2012 versions although it is not that stable as the build versions (that's why it called alpha) Come on!
I have used the various versions of this software regularly (via both cable and Bluetooth) for nearly 18 months and unfortunately it does not seem to be getting any better.
I am predominately using the software to read and write texts at my laptop (XP Professional) so I do not have to keep handling my W995i while working.
Big issues for me are
1. Incoming texts only show up in the software after you have read them on the handset. Ideally I shold never have to look at my phone for texts when I'm connected to the software.
2. Deleting texts from the software results in the software hanging, crashing or appearing to work ok but failing to send texts by storing them in the outbox
3. Regularly dropping connection with both cable and Bluetooth.
4. It becomes glacial if there is a large volume of texts present on the handset.
5. In-box, outbox and Draft/Unsent have date / time but sent messages do not.
They keep adding new functions but have not improved on the basics for handling texts.
For new users to this software I would recommend the following to get fairly stable text messaging;
Delete as many incoming / sent texts as you can before linking to the software and never delete any texts via the software
I used my program all the time, than had to purchase a new computer, and it won't work on it. I have had this program for years and I love everything about it. Windows 7 won't install it, was wondering if it had an update or something that will let me install it?
